Name:   NB983 B54 P122
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil
Notebook:   983
Context:   54
Page:   122
Date:   2007/04/11
Lot:   Lot 2007-011
Stratum:   Mixed fill of pit. Dark yellowish-brown, weakly-cemented, 25% inclusions, moderately sorted, pebbles and cobbles.
Notes:   Continuation of the excavation of pit 2006-4. This pass had slightly darker composition than basket 53 due to an increased amount of carbon. This layer also saw an increase in the amount and frequency of pottery and tile. We excavated to an arbitrary depth to allign ourselves with the previous excavation of pit 2006-4 (basket 47). If we resume excavation of the pit we will likely excavate it as a single unit. In addition to the increased amount of pottery and carbon, the basket continued to reveal bone, shell, and glass. We also discovered one coin:
2007-8 coin level:
N 970.34
E 405.57
H 90.55
We also extended the pre-existing martyr in pit 2006-3 along wall 215. In addition, we cleaned the edge of the pit to locate a firm edge. This cutting slightly altered the contour of the pit. We also returned to using the total station.
