Stratum:   Fill between W 265 and W 215. Soil is light whitish brown sandy clay with 70% pebbles, 20% cobbles, compact.
Notes:   Having exhausted the possibility of anything to the west of our area, we move back east to the very rocky strata near W 289 between W 265 and W 215. A previous pass here in B 12 revealed very little pottery, but we can still see bits of clay in the soil and this is probably still human activity-produced fill. Nonetheless, the general absence of pottery suggests the use of a large pick here.
We have taken two passes in this area and have yielded little pottery and nothing else. Bill says the soil becomes more clay-like so we are ending this basket. Top plan pg. 65.
