Corinth Basket: NB986 B28 P80 Collection: | | Corinth | Type: | | Basket | Name: | | NB986 B28 P80 | Area: | | Panaghia north | Category: | | Basket/zembil | Notebook: | | 986 | Context: | | 28 | Page: | | 80 | Date: | | 2007/05/03 | Stratum: | | Robbing trench, very dark, yellowish-brown, loose, 20% inclusions, poorly sorted, pebbles and cobbles | Notes: | | Continued excavation of the robbing trench first uncovered in basket 25. This basket revealed a fair amount of pottery as well as a fragment of iron slag and a possible bone pin. The sieve produced numerous fragments of bone, a small figurine, and what may be a partial coin. We stopped the basket when we came across another course of stones beneath W 297. We also stopped the basket to the west because we longer had a clear edge for the robbing trench. We will remove this area to the west as basket 29. | Context Pottery: | | Coarseware. interior glaze basin bs 2; Coarseware. dressel 7-11 amphora handle 1; Fineware. unid sigillata plate bs 1; Fineware. pre Roman 203 | Pottery Summary: | | 218 frag(s) 0.62 kg.
