Slightly light reddish brown soil with lots of inclusions sitting atop another hard-packed white surface. This fill/leveling fill/surface thins towards the SE (central courtyard) and is thickest at NW. The boundary is clear with courtyard surfaces and the courtyard surfaces in general are starting to get more level (less sloping toward SE) beneath 298. Occupants may have exhibited more care or dealt with less trashing/infilling lipping up the sides against the rooms.
