Stratum:   40%, tile, medium cobbles, certamic sherds
Description:   Top slope of the context is level down to the SE. The soil color is very dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This dumped fill includes a lot of tile as well as flat cobbles. This fill seems to be yet another part of the large dumped fill of a destruction material excavated as 1046 and 1053, and is located immediately SE of the Turkish house. This is a very small context.
It seems that we have excavated a single large dumped fill of tile, pottery, and other material as a number of separate contexts (1046, 1053, and 1057), even though they seem to have been separated by thin layers of soil without tile (1051, 1052, 1055). We will continue with digging the hard packed layer underneath in order to investigate this possibility further.
