Date:   2013/05/17
Stratum:   tile, ceramics, mortar, glass
Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is well sorted. Structure materials: earth.
Notes:   The removal of 1133 and 1134 (earth floors) revealed more of the surface cut by C1131, stretching from C1131 to C1127 to the W-E and boudned by W918 to the S. It includes pieces of tile and pottery as well as some medium pebbles.
This is a very thin layer- beneath it is a much harder layer that is redder and slopes down to the South. A very large piece of glass was found.
The N edge of this context is arbitrary because of the ramp - we dug this to expose what was below this floor in order to investigate the chronology of this area. As this is the last context of this session, we will not be able to fully understand the floor deposits, but we hope that the excavation of surface 1135 will help elucidate the questions about the area.
The harder area extends about 1/2 way from the S edge of the context to the N. Next session mightwant to look more at this area to figure out how this harder projections relates to the surface above and next to it.
