Description:   Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish white. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This Basket is characterised by soft dark brownish white soil that is different from the soft dark black soil of the B171 that was excavated above it , and from the hard, dark brownish white soil in the south of B174, and from the dark brownish black soil in the west of B174.
We decided to start working on this basket first because it covers partially the hard dark brownish white soil lying to the south.
This basket contains less stones than B171 but more bones. The bones in B174 consist a significant quantity (two boxes). Except for the stones (boulders, cobbles, pebbles), the pottery sherds, and the bones, a bag with iron objects was discovered in B174.
After we closed B174 an area of hard dark brownish white was revealed below B174 that is the same as the area to the South of B174.
We will excavate this area in a different basket (B178) , after we will remove the area of soft dark brownish black soil to the western part of the pit (B177).
