Stratum:   Light brownish yellow clay with 10% pebbles, 5% cobbles, and 5% tile.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level down to the The soil color is light brownish yellow. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   B 185 is the removal of a hard, irregularly shaped patch of soil near the southeast edge of the excavation. This patch was exposed by B 175. We are removing this layer first because it seems to sit on top of the other layers exposed by B 175. This pass is rather thin. It may be a clay floor surface of some sort. While this patch is hard, it appears that the soil below it is even harder.
We have completed this basket and it is difficult to see the edges of the layer to the west of it. We are moving further west to better define the soil.
