Description:   Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish black. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   Basket 215 is a continuation of B207. When we dug B207 we left an area of hard reddish soil and tiles in the northern part of the basket because we thought it might relate to N-S wall at 269E. But because the soft dark soil of the rest of B207 continued below this area of hard reddish soil, and because we did not see stones of the wall below it, we thought that it was more possible that this area belonged to the fill of the robbing trench as well. The excavation proved that we were right. The fill of the robbing trench continued much deeper and further to the south. The basket extended between the two preserved parts of the N-S wall at 269E, the north and the south one. The reddish soil with the tiles was limited only in the surface of the basket. Then the soil was black and further deeper it became lighter with more inclusions. The inclusions of the basket were mainly tile fragments, and pottery sherds, among them a fragmentary chafing dish, and a fragmentary bread stamp.
We closed the basket when we reached much harder brown soil which signified the end of the robbing trench. In the southern limit of the basket we were able to see the lower courses of stones of the N-S wall at 269E. But in the northern part of the basket we discovered that there are no stones under the last higher stone of the northern part of N-S wall at 269E. It it possible that the robber preferred to take stones below this preserved stone.
