Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Excavation began over area to the west of wall 306 and north of 376. It was bound on the west by the scarp of the excavation. To the north it is bounded by excavation cut 272. The soil was reddish brown giving way to a darker brown color. The soil deposit is most likely alluvial or the result of agricultural deposit. North of wall 376 the excavation revealed rooftiles that indicate a roof collapse. To the north of the tile deposit is what appears to be a pit (0.95 m. in diameter). Another pit characterized by a blacker soil bottom maybe taking shape along wall 306 on the west, just north of the intersection between 306 and 365. Excavation further north reveals the expected extension of a tile deposit uncovered by context 411.
Later Notes, 3/4/09: The area directly above this context was bulldozed in 2008. We looked at the final top plan of 2008 and it seems that the bulldozing stopped when it revealed soil strata equal to 411 and others (see final top plan of 2008).
