Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Context 544 is the excavation of the pit fill of pit cut 526. Pit cut 526 is lcoated in the room bounded by wall 313 to the east and 332 to the west. Pit cut 526 is cut into and is therefore later thatn pit cut 528. Both pit cut 526 and 528 shared their north boundary and truncated pit cut 527.
Context 544 is equal to context 525. We underdug 525 because we thought that it was the end of the pit. However, with the excavation of pit fills 534 an d 535 of pit cut 528 we realized that there was a part of the fill of pit cut 526 that was unexcavated.
The excavation of pit fill 544 revealed, as expected, the same deposit that was exposed with the removal of 534 and taken out as context 535.
