Stratum:   30% inclusions: 15% pebbles (fine to coarse, spherical to platy, rounded to angular), 10% pottery, 5% tile and some clay in the soil.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This thin strip of soil lies between earlier wall 5284 and later wall 5485. Our goal is to take this area down to the level of the floor on the east side of 5485, the floor revealed by 5588. Kostas began excavating south to north. The space was very narrow and after the first pass Guy suggested we hold off on excavating the rest of the space. We are going to move back to our floor on the east side of wall 5485 and return to this strip on the west side at another time.
ADDITONAL NOTE, 8-5-09:
The martyr of this context, as well as the soil that was difficult to reach, was excavated as context 6334.
