Notes:   Dumped deposit 585 is a chunky tiley lens deposited north of the pier 573 and it truncated to the north by the trench for the 19th c boundary wall (cut 272). There is also a small pit cut through the deposit (586) which may be a dog hole. The removal of this deposit revealed a lime plaster surface, likely related to building activity and the mixing of cement. It also revealed the foundations of the pier on the north side, such that he context may have been slightly over dug.
