Description:   The context shape in plan is circular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: truncated in the West by foundation trench 5720 for wall 5742.
Notes:   Context 6188 is a cut, which was barely visible at the beginning of excavation of context 6185, but became more apparent as the excavation progressed. The decision was made to suspend excavation of 6185, while 6188 was excavated separately. The cut was distinguished by the change in soil color, as being not a crack formed by slumping after the 1960s excavation. However, since the cut does not extend to the full depth of pit (Bothros 9, NB235), we are suspending judgement at this point.
