Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Context 6294 is a small patch of fill abutting and perhaps cutting into the pebble surface at the southern end of the courtyard of the Byzantine house. Excavation of the pebble surface will hopefully clarify if we have a cut here and perhaps a foundation trench for wall (5783).
