This cut relates to fill 6345, which we defined as 1960s backfill. The cut was uncovered by the excavation of 6343, which revealed a straight line running from east to west. The line of the cut, which was very defined, seems to suggest that it’s the result of modern half-sectioning or some other sort of archaeological procedure rather than from ancient formation processes.
