Description: | The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | We realized after excavating 6506 some time ago that there was actually foundation fill remaining for wall 6027, within cut 6509. The fill was used in support during the construction of wall section 6027. We have yet to locate foundation trenches for sections 6300 and 6285, which went together with it. When we reached the bottom of fill 6530, we noticed that the wall does appear to continue lower, in spite of the level we reached representing the bottom of THIS foundation trench cut 6509. It wouldn't be difficult to imagine the cut 6509 representing of this wall to accommodate threshold 6285, after ther removal of east-west wall 6522 to the east.
