Description:   The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This was simply a cleaning context of wall 539 in order to better define the stones currently exposed and to expose those that were exposed 5 years ago but have been covered by Father Time. The pottery date assigned is Mid-Byz, but this should be used with caution given the happy chances of contamination enjoyed by the surface of Wall 539 since the previous excavations here.
