| Description: | Top slope of the context is moderate down to the W. The soil color is light brownish grey. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand. | |
| Notes: | 6930 is an ashy layer of fill just north and east of the "hearth" area identified by J.P (6807, 6770, 6777). We are excavating this context because it cuts an area immediately to its west, which we plan to excavate nest. PK has noticed 3 distinct soil layers underneath this, and his excavation has indicated that we first need to remove the tiles of structure 6807. The bottom elevations of this layer follow the slope. The bottom elevation in the NE corner is 84.34, and in the south 83.95. | |
