Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Originally this context was thought to be a shallow fill, but excavation of this layer revealed that it was much deeper. It is located in the N of the ‘pithos’ room of Room F E-half. Its N boundary is formed by the foundation trench of wall 5450, W by the pithos, E by the wall 5347, cut 7050, and the bothros. Excavation of this fill was paused when a continuation of the foundation trench was found; work switched to that trench and then continued on this context. Since it seems that the central area of this room is surrounded by trenches, it is possible that these were all drainage trenches for some pressinf that took place in the center. All of the levels slope W and N towards the corner with the pithos. A martyr was left on te side by the pitos so that the pithos's pit can be excavated further. Two iron nails and a piece of wall plaster were also found in this context.
