Notes:   Formation cont.) NW-SE trench depending on prevailing situational necessity. After its period of usefulness had ended all of B70 went out of use and the NS trench filled up with debris mostly consisting of pottery sherds and bone fragments in a soil matrix while the 2 EW trenches filled up with debris as well but mostly soil.
NW-SE trench: L.= 4.80 max, W.= 2.00 max, Depth= .30 max; EW trenches: Northern- L.= 2.00 max, W.= .20 max, depth= .09 max, Southern- L. 2.30 max, W.= .12 max, Depth= .06 max.
The Shape is different for the 3 different cuts: 3 subrectangular trenches with roughly parallel sides the 1st and largest runs roughly NW-SE but is curved slightly, with the 2 smaller trenches running roughly E/W and intersecting the larger N/S trench on its eastern boundary (see plan). The smaller two trenches are straight, not curved.
NE/SW trench: The Break of Slope: Top- is non perceptible on the N, sharp on the NE, gradual on the E central section, sharp on the SE, S, SW, W central and not perceptible on the NW. The Sides are smooth and convex on the N, irregular and concave on the NE, convex on the E central section, vertical and smooth on the SE and S, convex and irregular on the SW, vertical and irregular on the W central and convex and smooth on the NW. The Break of Slope: Bottom- is not perceptible on the N, sharp on the NE, gradual on the E central, sharp on the SE and S, gradual on the SW and W central but not perceptible on the NW. The Base is sloping to the SE, uneven, tapered, and rounded with a broad shallow point.
EW trenches: The Break of Slope: Top- is gradual on the NW and SW but sharp on the NE and SE while the E is not perceptible. The Sides are irregular and convex on the NW and SW, SE and NE but the E is smooth and convex. The Break of Slope: Bottom- is gradual on the NW and SW but sharp on the NE and SE and not perceptible on the E. The Base is a shallow, tapered, rounded broad point on the NW, SW, SE, and NE and not perceptible on the E.
The soil consists of 10% poorly sorted inclusions of small to medium pebbles (rounded, subrounded and angular) and pottery sherds in a loose, dark yellowish brown sandy silt.
