Description:   The soil color is light yellowish black. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey sand.
Notes:   While we were digging this context its E edge became clear and we understood that context 884, E 885, was a pit. So we decided to came back to context 884, giving it a new context number 887. We think that 884 and 887 may be equal.

This morning Thanasis continued excavating 887, but we found out that the distinction between 887 and 885 was artificial, because these two contexts were differentiated only on the base of compaction (887 was harder than 885). So we decided to dig these two fills (887 and 885) as a single context, which we named 887.
Even though we did not reach the bottom of this context, Thanasis suggested to stop digging this fill. He wanted to move souther, where it was possible to distinguish a black fill (888), which seems to be the filling of a cut, diggen in red layers. We agreed with Thanasis, because looking at the S section of the robbing trench 759, 887 seemed to go quite deep and we wanted to prevent any kind of contamination.
When we finished excavating 888, we came back to 887, but we gave it a new context number, 889.
