Stratum:   40% sm-large rounded and subrounded angular stones, 10% cobbles rounded angular
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This context is a pale compact soil that lies against the bedrock cut for wall 38 to build it up to an appropriate floor level around well VI and in association with walls 44 and 38. The soil actually continues around the SW corner up to the center of this quadrant. We have been working early in the SW quadrant. We will continue this context on the S. side. On the SW side this context there is a semicircular cut similar to those in the SE quadrant. It is filled with a red soil that continues to the N and E.
