| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | This context was distinct due to the flat layer of regular pieces of green and white marble revetment. It is just to the west of wall 18 and was cut through by 16 and late Roman wall. The material is similar to the segmentatum layer. It is likely one of a number of lenses of leveling materials dumped into the space as part of the renovations for the mosaic room. We are revealing a rubble level below similar to the surrounding rubble fill. There is an inscripton with a few Latin letters on it within this context, which has a small second layer of flat tile revetment and the inscription below it. | |
