| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt. | |
| Notes: | After removing the clearly distinct overlaid context 290, we proceeded to excavate 291 down to the level of the top of the east wall, exposing a block on top of that wall near the SE corner, as well as joinery in construction of the wall SE of the newly revealed block. Finally, just north of that block, along the wall, we found a rectangular cutting along the inside edge of the wall that prompted us to change contexts (see notes for 294). | |
