Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | we began digging this context 14/4 and finished it 15/4. This surface seems very compacted-- perhaps it was walked on or simply exposed. Thalia wonders whether it might be some kind of floor (specifically a prehistoric floor, based on the sherds trampled into it), but it isn't oriented with the truncated foundation trench, so the floor wouldn't have been associated with that structure. Costas agrees that it might be a floor.
