| Notes: | we began digging this context 14/4 and finished it 15/4. This surface seems very compacted-- perhaps it was walked on or simply exposed. Thalia wonders whether it might be some kind of floor (specifically a prehistoric floor, based on the sherds trampled into it), but it isn't oriented with the truncated foundation trench, so the floor wouldn't have been associated with that structure. Costas agrees that it might be a floor. | |
