Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is compact. It is clayey sand.
Notes: | Coins found in this context: 94: sieve 95: sieve 96: 335.84, 1089.2, 81.43 97: 336.09, 1088.52, 81.43 We open this context to continue to remove the fill west of the well, in order to find the surface revealed under context 380. The soil is a yellowish brown clayey sand, and there are inclusions of charcoal, bone, and some pieces of bronze and iron. In the northern half of the context and extending a bit further south along the western scarp of the area, we find a surface that seems to be same as the one found to the east under 380. It has visible inclusions of charcoal and white (lime? chalk?) streaks. In addition, two coins found in situ were at the same elevation (81.43), matching as well the level of the floor under 380 and close to the bottom elevation for the present context. The surface ends, however, in an S-curve running from the well into the western scarp, to the south of which is a separate deposit with more pebbles and lumps of clay. We decide to take this fill out separately to determine the nature of its relationship to the present context and the floor surface revealed below it.
