| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the NW. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey sand. | |
| Notes: | at first we thought that 515 was part of 514, and that 514 covered the entire area of cut 497. we have since realized that 515 is the same soil as 513 and will equate the two contexts in our analysis. While sieving soil from this context thanasis identified what guy had thought was clay as kimilia (a kind a vrachos). We later learned from guy that kimilia is marl clay. At the bottom of this context we found a pot standing upright resting on the bedrock at 352.36 E 1086.60 N 80.47 H. | |
