Stratum:   5% small-medium pebbles, some carbon pieces (2%), 5% small reddish compacted lumps, some small clayey yellow chunks.
Description:   Top slope of the context is even. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey sand.
Notes:   This context is slightly redder than 59 because of the reddish compacted soil bits (possibly decaying mudbrick, but its unlikely). These were also seen in context 57. A coin was found at 77.64. \there is less pottery than in 59. I'm not very convinced that we've had a substantial soil change to this point. Another coin was found at 77.60. There is also another foothold, the first on the W side. Two coins were discovered in the sieve. Due to a measuring error we dug beyond the arbitrary change level of ca 25cm to ca. 40cm. The soil remained the same so I do not believe that it is a problem. We are changing contexts now to 62.
