Description:   Top slope of the context is moderate down to the S. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Two closing elevation values were taken -84.903 (min.); 84.666 (max. depth, in south of context).
1088 has larger pockets of pale crumbly soil, which may be pieces of upper cement floor. While excavating, it became clear that there was a lower wall course extending N-S along the east wall of the pit, though verification is needed to make sure it is in fact a wall. As excavation of 1088 deepened, the charcoal and ash content increased.
