Description:   Top slope of the context is moderate down to the W. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We decided in our last week to focus our works on the road surfaces to the west of Unit 2/Room A. We want to explore the chronology of the different roads and understand their longevity. We started excavating a lens of road , which overlay the other surfaces of the road. This part of the road is not completely flat (top elevation 86.04/86.00/85.98) and its surface does not have uniformity. It appears that road 348 consisted of soil , which has been cemented to become more compact. The cemented surface indicated that this lens of road was used as a road surface, but the quality of that road is not as good as the other that we removed the last two weeks (roads 193, 226). There were no fine and medium pebbles and the surface, as stated above, is not flat. The removal of 348 revealed the cut for the construction of drain 332 and a dark brown surface mixed with cobbles. Unfortunately, the removal of road surface 348 has been removed with its substratum strosis, because our pickman overdug the surface. The surface road was covering the SE side of our context. Below this surface and to its SW was the substratum of 348, which appears to be darker than the surface. It is notable that a big number of horn cores were collected from this deposit.
