Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This is a deposit for a floor that covers most of Room 2 and comprises 4 different deposits (577, 579, 573, 576) that, while dug separately, have been equated together as one floor because they are all at relatively similar elevations and are all approximately the same thickness, between 0.07 and 0.09 m. We differentiated these different contexts on the basis of color; however, we now suspect that these different colors are the result of the mottled nature of the deposits' composition. All of these deposits have approximately the same number and percentages of inclusions as well as the same compaction, and the pottery compositions are roughly contemporary and date to the late 13th to early 14th century. Therefore, we see these four contexts as one contemporary floor deposit.
