At the east, comes down to a possible surface, which extends to the east, beneath the rocky layer. Slopes down to the west, into pit 808 cut into the surface; contents spills over onto the surface 817.
LN: AMS 3/6/16 - Fill 805 has fewer/smaller inclusions than rocky layer 809.
LN: AMS 10/6/16 - Context 805 is cut at the SW corner of Rm 9 by a pit that was excavated in the 1990s. Context 805 dirt and finds continued into this corner.
LN: AMS 20/6/15 - Could Pit 808 and fill 805 postdate the large pit 733? Immediately above 805, lies context 704, which extends over the top of the large pit (733). After large pit 733 is filled, 808 could have been dug, cutting into the fill of 733. However, the stratigraphy (805 touches 809, which is below the level into which the pit was cut) suggests that Pit 808 and 805 pre-date, and were cut into by, the large pit.
LN: AMS 21/6/15 - The bottom of 805 reached approximately the lowest course of wall 729 in that corner. However, this lowest point presumably is the foundation of wall 729, so 805 should be cut by this wall.
