Name:   Temple E, Southeast, context 914
Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Context Type:   deposit
Title:   Dump fill layer
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1110
Context:   914
Date:   2016/05/05
Stratum:   Soil included pottery fragments, human bone, fine and medium pebbles.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   Area next to context 909 which had a two level concrete floor that appears to have gone under this section. This section contained mixed material including human bone (toes, vertebrae, ribs, pelvis). This layer is on top of where it is believed a burial is located. The mixed human bone in the layer is indicative of a disturbance of earlier burials when the layer was deposited.
Remains from at least one adult and one juvenile found in the level.
Excavation revealed cut for possible disturbed burial. Bones from the burial likely ended up in this context (914) as the cut for the burial is small, indicating the presence of a juvenile individual. An initial assessment of the bones from 914 includes juvenile bones (unfused os coxae).
Half of a hoop earring found in the sieve (inventoried as MF-2016-24).
