Description:   Large mould-made bowl with flat resting surface, convex wall, and straight rim.
Decoration:   Medallion: Trace of small radiating palmettes, 2 concentric circles. Wall: 11 rows of nodules (pine cone bowl). Above 2 plain fillets frame rim pattern of simplified ivy to lt. Groove just below lip (missing). (B, compare C-1926-32). Blob of clay over moulded design, poss. when bowl removed from mould (C). Traces of black glaze.
Material:   Overfired clay ranges in color from a greenish white to pink. Slight traces of mica; many small oval pits and light brown inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/2 to 7.5 YR 8/4
Condition:   Fragment. Seven joining frgts., preserving about one-fifth of resting surface and lower wall.
