Description:   Italian sigillata bowl Conspectus form 34 with flaring ring base, hemispherical body, horizontally projecting flange leading to straight rim (leans inward). Similar to C-1936-2008.
Decoration:   Reddish brown slip (2.5YR 4/6) on interior and exterior. Stacking marks on bottom. Groove below rim on exterior. Groove surrounding central stamp. Five applique flowers on rim.
Writing:   stamp. Stamp in center of floor: OCTSAL in planta pedis. Stamp deeply and evenly pressed, very clear.
Material:   Fine hard light reddish brown fabric.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Eight joining frgts., preserving complete profile, entire rim, entire base. Small pieces missing from body.
Period:   1 st c. A.C.
