Description:   Terracotta frying pan, circular. Very slightly convex undersurface. Edges rise in continuous curve from bottom, vertical on interior. Lip has slight bevel, sloping inward. Cylindrical handle attached to horizontal position to edge; knob at end, quarter-round in profile, shallow central depression, hole in bottom of depression for 0.027.
Material:   Hard, semi-coarse reddish brown clay with inclusions. Blackened on undersurface.
Condition:   Complete or intact. Five joining frgts., preserving complete pan; tiny area restored in plaster.
Period:   3rd c. B.C.
