Description:   Bowl with false ring foot, flaring, convex lower bodyup to carination, straight flaring upper body, tapered lip.
Decoration:   Green and Browl Painted III according to Morgan's classification. White slip on all vessel. Decoration as described by Morgan: 'centre medallion checkerboard pattern within broad band; grouped short strokes pendent from lip' (Corinth XI, catalogue n. 483, p. 222). Colourless overglaze on inner surface to over lip.
Material:   Fine, medium-hard, fabric, yellowish red in colour with few (0.25-1.5mm) spherical-angular, dark brown inclusions; rare (0.25-0.5 mm) silver sparkling inclusions; rare (0.25-1.5mm) white, spherical-angular inclusions.
Munsell Color:   5 YR 5/8 (yellowish red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Three joining frgts preserve complete profile; one-tenth of foot, one-fifth of body, one-seventh of rim.
