Description:   Local red slip mug with globular body, flanged rim, pointed lip, and handle. Form probably similar to thin-walled ware cup C-1973-398 a,b (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 209).
Decoration:   Red slip (2.5YR 4/6, metallic sheen) on exterior and interior, faired to dusky red (2.5YR 3/2) on rim. Rows of rouletting cover exterior surface. Two grooves on exterior of lip, one groove on exterior of flange.
Material:   Fine light red micaceous fabric with rare small white rounded inclusions, few small round voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/8 (light red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving less than 1/4 rim. Trace of handle. Slip well-preserved on interior and exterior, fading on rim.
Period:   1 st c. A.C.
Chronology:   second half of the 1st century CE?, based on comparanda in Corinth 18.2
