Description:   Deep bowl with nearly hemispherical profile, tapered lip.
Decoration:   White slip over all. Champleve decoration on interior:head, part of wing of sphinx to r.; floral spray curlingout from head, scallops for hair, square-hatched wingfeathers. Behind and above, large floral filling; belowlip band of vertical strokes. Clear to pale glaze on interior, green glaze on exterior.

Material:   Fine pinkish-buff clay with tiny black, white inclusions, voids.

Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken just above foot, to lip. 1/6 circumference.
