Description:   Plate with low vertial ring foot, resting surface and interior of foot irregularly trimmed, part of flat undersurface. Shallow, wide-flaring echinoid body, turning up horizontal outturned rim, flat on top. On exterior of body, oblique striations as if from paddling or scraping.
Decoration:   White slip over all, more thinly applied on exterior. Sgraffito dec. on interior: medallion with interlace on imbricate ground, 2 framing lines; on mid body, degenerate rinceau; rim: ring ofdetached concentric arcs. Clear glaze on interior and overlapping lip.
Material:   Fine red clay with scattered coarse black inclusions. some white, voids.

Condition:   Complete profile. Seven joining frgts., complete profile; 9/10 foot, 2/3 body to rim; missing center floor; glaze partly worn.
