Description:   Plate with wide-flaring shallow body, tapered oblique lip.
Decoration:   Pale on interior, over lip, and dripping down exterior. Sgraffito decoration on interior: head of warrior facing lt., head tilted somewhat. Wears small bladder-shaped cap on head, double circles for eyes, moustache and goatee. Bit of shoulders with chain mail; holds large raquette-shaped shield to lt. Yellow glaze on interior, overlapping lip. Morgan: apparently by same hand as C-36-702.
Material:   Fine red clay with tiny white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Between 5YR 6/6 and 2.5YR 6/6
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., small part of upper body, lip; glaze worn.
