Description: | Conical stand with straight flaring walls joining dish near bottom. Flaring slightly convex dish wall to plain rim with rounded lip. Rim offset inside with by thickened ridge for a lid. Wheel-ridged inside with flat, slightly convex bottom. Vertical strap handles attach at mid-body and lower body. Two circular ventiliation holes 0.015 in diameter pushed through from exterior. | |
Decoration: | Dark, matt-gray (Munsell 5 YR 5/1) slip dribbled down exterior and visible on interior where glazed. Thin, olive-yellow glaze inside to lip appears olive brown on fabric. Glaze spalling where white inclusions in fabric but also blistered. Inside unglazed in patches.Sprinkled glaze. | |
Material: | Medium Hard pink (Munsell 7.5 YR 7/4) clay . Smooth conchoidal with black and white inclusions. This individual has a reddish yellow core (Munsel 5 YR 6/6). | |
