Description:   Chafing dish with wide flaring upper body, inward thickened rim. Triangular rim with broad groove on upper surface. Dish set entirely within stand. Vertical, oval handle with longitudinal spine attaches below rim and mid-body.
Decoration:   Incised wave pattern on upper body, exterior, just below upper handle attachment, 2 broad grooves above. Interior of bowl "brown" glazed.
Material:   Hard-fired gray-brown clay with frequent white, black inclusions. Granular, conchoidal, slightly hackly break.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 5/2 to N2/
Condition:   Fragment. Three large frgts., preserving about 2/5 including 1/2 of the rim and upper body, and one handle. Partially restored in plaster.
