Description:   Amphora with round bottom, in so far as preserved, ovoid body with max. diam. just below shoulder,steep rounded shoulder, short cylindrical neck, folded rim, neck and rim pushed to oval. Three vertical handles: 2 large (W00.050) from shoulder to upper neck, one small, halfway between other two (W00.03), extending from upper body to lower shoulder.Lower body slightly deformed.
Decoration:   Decoration in matt black paint: on shoulder, side A (no handle) clump of 7 tangent spirals; side B, (small handle), vertical branch surrounded by spirals to lt. of handle, rt. missing except for edges of spirals. Stripe on lip. Small handle: horizontalstripes; large handles: diagonal stripes and curving lines.
Material:   Hard light gray-green clay with some voids, brown mudstone, lime and popped voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 5Y 7/3.5, core: near 5Y 6/3
Condition:   Missing parts. Numerous joining frgts., complete profile exceptfor bottom proper, 3/4 circumference of body frombottom to top of shoulder, 1/4 neck, rim; one smallhandle, one one-half large.
