Description:   Lekythos with disk foot, concave undersurface with central depression; narrow stem, nearly cylindrical body, flaring to low sloping shoulder, tall cylindrical neck, vertical strap handle attached to shoulder, neck.
Decoration:   Foot reserved with single glaze line; top of foot and lower body black glazed w. 4 thin reserved stripes. Upper 2/3 body reserved with white ground, black-figure decoration: 4 horses to rt., heads of 1st and 2nd directed rt., 3rd. turned forward, 4th, to rt. Horses driven by helmeted warrior in chariot box hidden by 1st horse, but bottom line of box seen between horse's legs; wears chitoniskos. 2 rows of rays on shoulder; handle back glazed.
Material:   Fine light red clay.
Munsell Color:   5YR 5/6
Condition:   Missing parts. Complete except for edge of shoulder, upper part of neck, rim; initially RIP; in 2001 removed plaster.
