Description:   ESB cup Atlante form 70 with horizontal floor and beveled base ring, concave flaring wall, sharp carination under lip, and slightly inturned rounded lip. Similar to C-1936-1432 (Hayes 1973, Hesperia 42, cat. 148) and C-1964-229 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 96).
Decoration:   Red slip (2.5YR 5/6) on interior and exterior. Grooves below carination and below lip on exterior; double groove below lip on interior. Rouletting on carination and on lip.
Writing:   stamp. Rectangular stamp on center of floor: CΠΟ/ΡΟΥ. Stamp nearly illegible. Similar to C-1964-205 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 93).
Material:   Fine reddish yellow micaceous clay with rare small rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Complete profile with complete base and 2/3 rim. Slip flaking on exterior. Some evidence of burning. Stamp worn.
Period:   Early Roman (44BC-1/2 2nd c AD)
Chronology:   3rd quarter 1st c. CE, based on comparanda in Corinth 18.2
Findspot Description:   South Stoa, inside of Stamnos behind Shop XIII.
