Description:   Bowl with low, thick vertical ring foot, slightly pointed undersurface, stepped convex body and tapered, flaring lip
Decoration:   White slip on interior and splashed around exterior of lip, dripping down in several places; inside, and on the edges of the lip it is glazed dark olive brown (2.5Y 3/3) to light green (color is inconsistent and splotchy). Half of the way up the interior walls are two incised lines around the circumference of the bowl, and below these, near the bottom center is a single small, loop-like sgraffito shaped like a capital "J".
Compare to C-60-309 (Hesperia 36.3 (1967) p. 272, no. 29, pl. 63), a Frankish sgraffito bowl.
Material:   Semi-coarse reddish yellow clay with rare to few medium, rounded, spherical white inclusions and rare, medium, platy voids
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Mended from one large piece and two smaller frgts., preserving upper body and rim; Rim 4/5 complete (missing one small, c. 0.020, section, and one larger one)
