Description:   Typical Middle Corinthian oinochoe on ring foot, with flaring body and almost horizontal shoulder. Neck offset from body; trefoil mouth offset from neck (join lines?). Handle grooved on top and sides, from shoulder arches to rim, to which it is attached by spool-like projections.
Decoration:   Decoration of three figure friezes separated by bands of glaze; neck, rim, handle and foot glazed; zone of ray pattern just above foot. Shoulder frieze: man running to right between sirens; two panthers. Second frieze: panthers, lions, deer, goat, owl. Lowest frieze: Panthers, ram, deer. Lavish use of degenerate dot and incised rosettes. Some superimposed red paint; incision. cf. Perchora II, pls 70,71, for decoration; Necrocorinthia, p. 32 and fig. 10f, for shape.
Material:   Buff clay; decoration in black to red glaze paint and red paint.
Condition:   Fragment. Missing parts of body; restored in plaster. Warped and split below handle during firing.
