Description:   Cooking fabric round mouth pitcher (Pitcher I by Edwards) with concave bottom with shallow off-center indentation, ovoid body with short, wide, concave neck, flaring rounded lip, vertical strap handle attached at body just above maximum diameter and at rim. As C-65-553 (Corinth XVIII.1, pp. 68, 186, no. 646, pl. 58).
Material:   Coarse red clay with frequent medium to very large rounded spherical and tabular white lime and black inclusions and few voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 5/6 (red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving 1/2 bottom, 3/4 body, 3/4 rim, complete handle. RIP.
